So,
I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my 10th anniversary. To properly
celebrate our big milestone my husband and I wandered across Nagpur to find
some wonderful place which also serves excellent food. We went to the place where we went for our
first date. My husband and I come here often. So this place was the first place
which came into my mind for celebrating our togetherness.
But
a 10th anniversary celebration deserves a very memorable
celebration. The function can be a romantic dinner of the couple, a party of
family members or a grand party with all family members and friends attending. The planning must start well in advance. Each
wedding anniversary symbolises the length of time a couple has been together
and shared happiness and problems of life.
We
wanted a place where we can have fun and celebrate lively. We were looking for
a place which has outdoor lawn where we can set up music for entertaining our
guests. The place must reflect our style and preferences.
Memories
play is a must. By creating a look back brings the floods of emotions and also
would acknowledge that the couple has stood the test of time. So we created a
video that showed our journey through our lives. We also invited all the guests
which were there at our wedding.
Finding
such a place which fits into all the criteria and which serves veg and non veg
food is a huge task. Anniversary dinner should be special. Everyone can have
their preference when it comes to ambiance and cuisine. It is regardless how
long you have been together, you still want to celebrate anniversary in such a
way that it becomes memorable which can be cherished for rest of life.
Indian Food |
I
visited veg restaurant in Nagpur but somehow it could fit in
because we later on decided to include non vegetarian food. Our
criteria included that the restaurant should cozy, should have chic decor and
welcoming atmosphere. I contacted top Nonvegetarian Restaurants in Nagpur to narrow down my choices I visited a few.
It should have combination of delicious food and exceptional service. It should
be located in the heart of city, the staff should be attentive. They should
have creative menu and beautiful decor. The food and atmosphere should be cozy
nothing fancy. Kitchen must accommodate special request.
The
moment guests enter should be welcomed by well dressed servers. The food must
be exquisite. We decided for the elaborate menu which included options for both
vegetarians and non vegetarians. As we both are foodies, we opted for array of
dishes to celebrate our special day. Indian celebrations are never boring. It
must include the massive amount of food. The appetizers we selected were both
veg & non veg to cater our guests. It comprise of traditional starter of
Nagpur from where we both belong. It included patodi, samosa, kebab, chicken malai
tikka, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka etc.
Main
course includes local speciality of Saoji dishes and mughalai dishes like Gurda Kaleji, Mutton Korma and
Punjabi dishes like butter chicken, Mutton Biryani and Rumali Roti . For our
vegetarian friends we included traditional delicacies like butter paneer, veg Kofta curry, paratha and veg pulao.
Vegetarian
and Non vegetarian food in Indian cuisine comprises of array of world famous
dishes made with exotic vegetables, paneer mutton, chicken, sea food and eggs.
There are variety of dishes that made by mixing aromatic spices. For
desert we went fortraditonal maharashtrian shrikhand and puran poli. Shrikhand
is a desert made from hung curd and sugar mixing together with aromatic saffron
and cardamom. Whereas, puran poli is sweet bread made from Bengal gram and
sugar.
I
just hope this special day bring all the joy for both of us and a party which would
be remembered by all my guests.
